Master of Science Degree Program in Environmental Studies

The Master of Science in Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary program intended to provide students with an understanding of the complex nature of environmental problems and their solutions.

As global population grows at an exponential rate, the Earth’s ecosystems are being stressed by the increased demand for natural resources, notably agricultural land, forests, energy, habitats, clean air, and clean water. In addition, equitable access to these natural resources is not available to everyone.

It is the aim of this program to educate professionals who will be involved in seeking solutions to environmental problems. The solutions will require an interdisciplinary understanding of the problems incorporating scientific, economic, political, legal, and ethical points of view. As such, graduates will be prepared to function as environmental professionals in industry, regulatory agencies, and non-profit organizations.

Class Schedules

The program is offered in an accelerated format consisting of six consecutive 7-week terms, allowing students to earn a degree in just 11 months.
